Chris Jones is a Board Certified personal injury lawyer and wrongful death lawyer with over 27 years of experience.  Chris is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.  Mr. Jones is rated as a preeminent Lawyer by his peers.

After graduating from Baylor Law School in 1989, where he was Assistant Managing Editor of the Baylor Law Review,  Chris Jones began his  legal career in Dallas with the firm of Worsham, Forsythe, Sampels & Wooldridge defending the Texas Utilities Companies, KCS Railroad and other large corporations.  The training and experience Chris obtained as a personal injury lawyer defending these corporate giants and learning from a blue ribbon defense firm has proven to be invaluable in representing individuals and families against in insurance companies and negligent corporations.

In 1992,  he joined John Howie and the Dallas firm of Misko, Howie & Sweeney as a personal injury attorney .  While there, Chris worked with John on aviation cases involving airplane and helicopter crashes, 18 wheeler trucking accidents, car wrecks, electrocutions and other catastrophic injury and death cases.

It was in Dallas that Chris Jones developed a products liability practice and handled a number of  motor vehicle crashworthiness against the major manufacturers. Chris Jones is also a Private Pilot and enjoys not only aviation law, but also enjoys flying and spending time at the local airport.

In 1996 Chris decided to come home to Longview, Texas, and use his skills as a personal injury attorney to represent East Texans in need.  Jones & Jones, Attorneys at Law was founded in 2000.  Since its beginning, Chris and the firm have successfully prosecuted personal injury and wrongful death cases involving defective products, defective pharmaceutical drugs, defective child restraints, rollover accidents, oil field injuries and deaths, electrocutions, truck accidents, industrial accidents, car accidents and a number of difficult, but important cases.  Some of these cases include the death of a 14-year-old child  from a brain eating amoeba and a young lady sexually assaulted on a vehicle test drive.

Chris is licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas, a member of the State Bar of Texas, a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Past President of the East Texas Trial Lawyers Association and Past Director of the Attorneys Information Exchange Group.

Community service is important to Chris.  He was named Kiwanian of the Year in Dallas and Ducks Unlimited Man of the Year in Gregg County.  Chris supports the local schools and serves as a Board Member of the Pine Tree Education Foundation.
